2.1 Shortblock Packages

Need more Power & Torque? JAM's 2.1 EVO 4-9 performance shortblock packages are unsurpassed in quality and longevity. Suitable for both your hot street or track use, our shortblocks will provide the ultimate in performance. Our custom design 2.1 allows you higher rev's, faster spool-up, more horsepower and increased torque. Every engine is precision machined "In-House" using our state of the art tooling and techniques. Our engines are built using only dyno tested methods and race track proven techniques and components.

The following services and quality components are used in this Stage 2.1 build:

• The block is completely disassembled and cleaned
• Visually inspected
• All threads are checked
• Main bolt holes are tapped
• Align bore specs are checked and recorded w/ARP main studs
• Cylinders are sonic tested for thickness
• The block is then squared decked
• The deck holes are bottom tapped for ARP head studs
• The block is precision bored
• The bores are 4-step torque plated honed using our proprietary methods for ultimate ring seal
• We then machine your block for the proper clearances and to our spec
• File fit piston rings per cylinder
• The block is then thoroughly washed for final assembly
• The new crank is fully inspected and micro-polished
• The new rods & pistons are pin fit to our specs
• The rotating assembly is precision balanced
• The cleaned block oilers are then installed
• We install your JAM Spec-performance ACL Shaft brgs
• Install the new freeze plugs, galley plug and head to block dowels
• The rotating assembly is then installed into the machined block.
